2fer The Price of 1

At 10 years old my mom and dad got me a brand new 17 inch RCA television set complete with a remote control. That thing, weighing just under 50 lbs and taking up the lion’s share of my dresser top, was the envy of almost every other 10 year old on my block. That summer, I parked that thing in my bedroom and watched Married With Children until the wee hours of the night. As the night dragged on, the programmed television gave way to late night infomercials. The Flowbee, Soloflex, Freedom Rock (and so much more!!!) are seared into my brain. One of the recurring themes in all of these late night broadcasts were the amazing deals you can get. So, four years ago, when Josh Pierce texted me to “call now” I thought, I “can’t wait”. His “deal for you” was that we could run overnight and get two days for the price of one. I couldn’t resist. Call it kismet or karma, either way the June 2fer was born!

This June your challenge is to run/ride overnight. The activity must be one continual activity and you must at least get the minimum before midnight and at least the minimum after midnight to qualify for this challenge. For example, you start riding your bike at 11:30 p.m. on Day One and reach 3 miles before midnight, and then you keep riding through midnight and complete another 3 miles that will count as your activity for Day Two. Once you have COMPLETED the challenge, sign up for the event and don’t forget to tag @Josh Pierce and @Ryan Mellem in the comment section of your run. The winner will be drawn at random for the $50 prize. Reach out if you have any questions. As always, have fun, be safe, and anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
