Frozen Feet Challenge
Welcome to the first challenge of January 2022. Each year, in January, our local running store The Runners Edge puts on “The Frozen Feet Challenge”. The object of this challenge is to get outside every single day of January and log your miles. Historically, we do a similar challenge in February, but this year we’ve decided that we’d have ours coincide with theirs. I like to do it in February because the month is shorter, but Josh likes to suffer in the cold arctic air and wants to drag you all into the misery with him for longer (For the newbies to the group, I’m the better looking and nicer one.) I’ve been suffering for 5 years with him so I figure you all can as well.
This month’s challenge is to run at least one mile (at 15 min/mile or less) or ride 3 miles OUTSIDE every day of the month of January 2022. Once you have completed the last day of the challenge, sign up for the event AND make sure to tag us in the comment section of your Strava run by typing @joshpierce and @ryanmellem. One lucky winner from the finishers of this monthly challenge will be drawn for the January prize. You can also sign up for the Runners Edge Frozen Feet Challenge if you’d like, but it is not necessary to be eligible for our challenge. The link to sign up for theirs is down below.
