Finding FNG’s
By now you’ve probably told a few people that you’ve run or rode everyday for 7 months. Some of your friends are the “you’re nuts” crowd. Some just look at you and wonder what the hell is wrong with you. Others are the “that’s rad” variety. Either way, you’ve shared your love of running and riding with them. They may think you’ve lost your mind, but honestly you’re inspiring. You really are. You all took it upon yourselves to get out everyday and commit to bettering yourself. Maybe it’s because it’s for your mental health. Maybe you needed a physical goal. Whatever your motivation has been or is, you’ve stuck with it. You’ve put in the work. Josh and I started this thing just to build a community of like minded individuals and have a little fun along the way. Over the years, the “FNG’s” have become staples of the challenge. Some of you we only know virtually, but damn it feels like we really know some of you. That’s a pretty cool feeling to be honest. We’re glad you’re part of the community and sharing your love of running with others.
This months challenge is to share that love of running and riding with someone new. Find that FNG or another friend who wants to get more active. Invite them along for a run or ride. If you can get them to commit, show up, and do a run/ride, post a pic of you two together. Then tag Josh and I in the activity. You get one entry, for this months challenge, per FNG. The FNG has to be someone you HAVE NOT previously shared a run/ride with before. FNG’s can’t be shared. What I mean is: For example, if Josh and I run together with the same newbie only one of us can claim them. For those of you (likely over 40) who don’t know what an FNG is, look it up in the urban dictionary. We will pick one winner from the finishers of this months challenge for our monthly prize. Reach out if you have any questions. As always: Have fun. Be safe. And anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
