Leap Day Leg Day
Growing up in a small town has some advantages. In the summertime, I'd wake up, drown my fruity pebbles in some 2%, and hit the road on my sweet ass red and black ST Racer bicycle. Ahead of me lay a day of hitting jumps, fishing turtles out of the Northern Montana College pond, acclimatizing my pancreas to 64 oz of soda, football in the park, shooting my 10 year old shot with Lisa Brix, working through rejection, wiffleball in my buddy's back yard, and finally the dreaded ride back home. While the ST Racer was cherry on the downhills and the flats, it left a lot to be desired on the climb back home. You see, I lived at the top of an enormous hill and at the top of that meandering behemoth sat a long, steep driveway that led up to my house. After a full day in the hot sun, that uphill ride was a slog. Out of the saddle and firing my pre-pubescent pistons, I'd hammer the pedals until reaching the cool grass of my front yard. Shaded from the sun, I'd roll off my bike. Legs throbbing...heart pounding I'd regroup and I was off and running through the neighborhood.
This month's challenge is a bonus in so many ways. First off, you've got 29 exercises coming your way. We get an extra day this year, so why not make it a leg day. This month's challenge must be completed on Feb 29th and you have to RUN it (Sorry, bike specialists). Below you will find a list of body weight only exercises. You must complete 4 SETS of each of the seven exercises and then run at least 1 mile under 15 minutes. That's 4 sets x 7 exercises = 28 + 1 one mile run= 29 total exercises...You're welcome! Once you've completed the activity, tag @Josh Pierce and @Ryan Mellem in the comment section and sign up for the event. We will select one winner at random for the monthly prize. Have fun, be safe, and anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
